
Attractions Electrical Controls Technician
Morey's Piers is seeking Attractions Electrical Controls Technician to join our Team. This fast-paced environment provides individuals the opportunity to assist in the overall maintenance and repair of assigned rides, games, water parks, and support equipment. The Technician will utilize and interpret schematics and drawings of electrical, hydraulic systems/gearbox assemblies/pneumatic systems/structural and/or erection prints to dismantle, assemble, and repair equipment as required. Strong attention to detail is essential for success in this role.
Candidates should possess the following qualities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot problems.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical control systems such as PLC's, Relays, Contactors, Motor Controllers, VFD's, Motors, lighting, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot various power systems, including low voltage AC/DC up to 120-480V single and three phase.
- Familiarity with common mechanical equipment, bearings, bushing, couplers, pumps, shafting, and similar power transmission components.
- Ability to complete tasks using a computer or tablet.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems preferred.
- Understanding of industrial maintenance and safety.
- Ability to read & understand blueprints & schematics.
- Ability to work independently & in a team environment.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities & maintain confidentiality.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years' experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
Physical requirements include working at heights of up to 50'; lifting equipment and other items up to 50lbs., unassisted; able to climb stairs and work at varied elevations including rooftops; able to to perform physical work including standing, walking, crawling, pushing, bending, and stooping; able to work in varying weather (rain, wind, cold temperatures, direct sunlight, or high heat and humidity).
This is a full time, benefitted role in Wildwood, NJ offering a competitive hourly rate ($30-$36) and benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other perks. This year-round role may include days, nights, holidays, and weekends during our operational season, but a generous time-off program helps to balance peak season requirements.
