Morey’s Piers, the region’s leader in tourism and hospitality, is seeking an Accounting Intern to support the day-to-day operations of our Accounting Department for the upcoming season.

The intern will partner closely with the accounting team to support core finance processes across multiple business lines. This role requires strong attention to detail and an understanding of how accurate, timely work supports the broader accounting and reporting process. This is a strong opportunity to gain hands-on accounting experience in a high-volume, multi-entity organization.

 

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Organizing, reconciling, and posting daily deposits.
• Assisting with Accounts Payable processing.
• Supporting bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances.
• Assisting with the month-end close process.
• Supporting ad-hoc projects as needed.

 

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Attending college or recent graduate.
• Interest in accounting, finance, or business operations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Professional and responsive when supporting internal departments.
• Able to maintain confidentiality.
• Able to perform physical activities that require lifting, balancing, climbing, stooping, and bending.
• Able to push, pull, or lift up to 25 lbs.
• Able to stand/walk up to 90%.
• Able to work in various weather conditions (rain, wind, cold, direct sunlight, high heat, humidity).

 

Compensation:

• $16 per hour plus a retention-based bonus, provided bonus eligibility criteria are met.
