Amusement Park Worker:
Amusement Park Workers under the age of 18 will be assigned sets of responsibilities from the list below.
Admissions Primary Responsibilities:
- Sell admission/redeem tickets to the park.
- Greet guests and answer guest questions.
- Monitor entrances and exits of the park.
Food Services Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet customers.
- Assigning table seating to customers.
- Present menus.
- Ring in counter sales to the computer and sell items.
- Serve food and drink in non-alcohol beverage locations.
- Run food and bus tables in full-service restaurants (must be at least 16 years old).
Game Operator Primary Responsibilities:
- Explain the rules of the game.
- Collect payment.
- Distribute prizes.
Lifeguard/Pool Attendant Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor aquatic areas and swimmers.
- Respond to aquatic emergencies.
- Dispatch riders on attractions.
- Ensure riders meet the riding requirements.
- Must be at least 15 years old.
- Must be at least 16 years old to work certain attractions.
Office Assistant Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with general office duties.
- Filing, copying, scanning.
- Data entry.
Park Services Primary Responsibilities:
- Keep the park neat, clean, and orderly.
- Sweep areas.
- Wipe down tables and surfaces.
- Empty trash.
Retail Primary Responsibilities:
- Ring in sales to the computer and sell items.
- Restock items.
- Monitor the retail location.
- Keep stores neat, clean, and orderly.
Ride Cashier/Ticket Taker/Ride Attendant Primary Responsibilities:
- Take payment (tickets or cash, depending on the ride) for admittance.
- Ensure riders meet the riding requirements.
Ride Operator Primary Responsibilities:
- Duties listed for Ride Cashier/Ticket Taker/Ride Attendant.
- Operate the controls of the ride.
- Monitor the operation of the ride.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
Additional job responsibilities and duties may be assigned to support overall amusement park operations as needed. All job responsibilities are in full compliance with NJ and Federal Laws governing the employment of minors.
