
First Aid Staff - Amusement Piers
Description: Morey's Piers is seeking EMTs, nurses, PAs and paramedics to join our Pier Operations Team as members of our First Aid Staff. Responsibilities include providing competent First Aid and emergency care to injured Guests and associates in a friendly, comfortable manner.

Compensation and Hours:
- Seasonal position starting at $19.00 per hour.

Opportunity to earn up to $1.00 per hour performance-based end of season bonus.
- Must work a minimum of 200 hours and through your commitment date to be eligible.

Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age.
- Fluent in the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Currently licensed medical professional (NJEMT, RN, PA, or Paramedic). Copies of your certification cards will be required as part of the hiring process.
- Possess current CPR certification.
- Possess and demonstrates strong leadership ability.
- Possess maturity of judgment and ability to assess injuries.
- Able to meet the public and present a confident, friendly, enthusiastic, and positive image.
- Able to work outdoors and stand/walk up to 5 hours at a time.
- Able to pass Morey's Piers EMT Competency Test.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- High degree of discretion when dealing with confidential information.
- Able to maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships with fellow employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent service to our Guests.
- Ensure the safety of our Guests and Associates.
- Administer First Aid to our Guests and Associates.
- Document all necessary information regarding an injury.
- Provide Guests and Associates with a clean, neat, and organized First Aid Office.
- Maintain a current inventory of all First Aid equipment and supplies.
- Perform visual and verbal audits of our ride operators as needed.
- Perform Pier/Water Park operations duties as assigned by Management.
- Including but not limited to operating rides if trained, providing water, closing rides, and assisting ride supervisors.
- Adhere to Company Policies and Procedures as outlined in the Associate Handbook.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Able to hear and distinguish sounds in noisy environments to assess patient conditions and communicate with team members.
- Able to speak & enunciate clearly and at a level audible to others in loud conditions and stressful situations to provide clear verbal communication with guests, bystanders, and other emergency personnel.
- Able to work outdoors and stand/walk up to five hours at a time.
- Able to walk up and down stairs.
- Able to perform physical work required to move an injured guest in the event of an emergency.
